About the Podcast
When you spend most of your career working on something you're deeply passionate about, the end—even when anticipated—is harder than ever imagined.
It's even hard when you know you're ready for it. When you're confident you can move on and succeed.
It's just kind of brutal… and taboo to talk about?
That's where Step Into Next comes in.
This is a podcast about the space between what was and what's next. The messy in-between that nobody really prepares you for. The time when you're no longer defined by the one thing you built, but not yet clear on what comes next.
Your Hosts
Leanne Shear and I are former founders, collaborators, and now co-hosts who've been living in this transition themselves. After co-writing Making Waves together, they realized their regular catch-ups—90-minute conversations about the discomfort, the uncertainty, and what's in Leanne's insane snack bag—were actually the thing they should be sharing.
So they are.
What to Expect
Honest conversations about chapters that have ended—career, business, relationship, phase of life—and navigating into the next phase. Or just the time it takes you to get to that next phase.
We're not pretending to have it figured out. We're certainly not offering a blueprint. Because frankly, we don't think there is one.
There's no single path. It's about one step in front of the other. Walking YOUR labyrinth. Saying no to some things, yes to others. Not knowing but stepping anyway. And making mistakes along the way.
If you're in it right now, you're not alone.
New episodes every Tuesday.
